Association
The PRSRA is designed to be the best sanctioning association for professional roughstock cowboys. We have designed our program to fit the professional, college and high school cowboy enabling them to compete for the same prize money. All of us involved in the PRSRA have at one time been a roughstock rodeo cowboy and have always loved the true American sport. From the classic event to the most dangerous, we believe that this is the time to bring the true cowboys to the arena. We only sanction events that are non-stop, high energy rock and roll shows with a FEW pyrotechnics.



History
For several years now many of us involved in professional rodeo events has seen an influx of bull riders and a decrease of horse riders. For us, we believe that times need to change and we need to create a love for the horse as well as the bull. Many of our cowboys today ride bulls for the money, but our bareback and saddle bronc riders are left out in that department. We at the PRSRA have decided that the bucking horses have made what you see today as professional rodeo and what’s better than to see an event based totally on bares, broncs, and bulls.



Future Goals
Have you actually sat down and written your future goals?? We have! The PRSRA made a commitment to be the best and largest professional roughstock sanctioning body in North America. Our group believes this will be one of the fastest growing associations to be a member of. We have invested our future for you and envision that one day we’ll have an opportunity to sanction an event in all 50 states. However, our current goal is to establish a multi regional network of sanctioned events.
